Charmaine ‘gets a real buzz’ out of helping her clients to achieve their goals, encouraging them to reach their full physical and functional potential. She considers the whole person and not just the presentation of their injury. Her aim as a Physiotherapist is to help her clients with their injuries of course, but also to improve their mobility, balance, confidence, independence and quality of life; giving them the, knowledge and confidence to help and support themselves. The Clinic is collaboratively seeking and developing good therapeutic relationships across the Bailiwick Also further afield for the promotion of the health and well being of all of her clients. She is also working with her colleagues across different disciplines at CMC Wellbeing in Guernsey. Actively advocating for the clients in her care. Charmaine has worked with elite sports individuals and teams as well as the military, privately and in the charitable sector. Areas of therapeutic interest include Musculoskeletal outpatient rehabilitation, exercise and coaching. In Alderney this includes Older People, Community support/individual exercise, pre and post-operative rehab. Techniques used include: manual, exercise, hot and cold therapies, trigger point release and/or acupuncture to promote, maintain and restore well-being as well as reducing pain. She also has an MOE Coaching award and has an empathetic, caring, focused, professional and hands on approach to the delivery of physiotherapy. Charmaine is member of The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and is HCPC Registered.
